Teen Work Program 2025

Camp is Limited to 25 kids per Session with 2 aides and 2 instructors

​

General Information: Camp held at Cobblestone Arts Center, 1622 State Route 332 Farmington, NY 14425. 

​

  • Sessions are Monday-Friday from 9am-2:30pm

  • Please pack a lunch and bring a water bottle

  • A full week of musical theater fun!

  • Auditions will be held on the 1st day of camp, come ready to sing, act, and dance!

  • The cost for each session is $300 per student

 

Session Details:  

  • July 7th - 11th - The Wizard of OZ

  • July 14nd - 18th - Moana Revue

  • July 21st - July 25th - Encanto Revue 

  • July - 28th - Aug. 1st - The Little Mermaid JR

Program & Performance Details:

  • Participants will work on learning dance in the musical theatre style and group choreography. They will also be introduced to proper vocal techniques while learning music from each show. Participants will engage in acting exercises and memorize dialogue.

  • The performance will happen at the end of the day on Friday 

  • Performance at 3pm

Daily Schedule:

  • Dance Warm Up: 9am - 9:30am

  • Musical Theater Choreography: 9:30am - 10:30am

  • Musical Rehearsal: 10:30am-11:30am

  • Lunch Group I: 11:30am-12:00pm 

  • Cool Down: 12pm-12:30pm

  • Lunch Group II: 12:00pm-12:30pm

  • Cool Down: 12:30pm-1:00pm

  • Review/Run Script: 1:00pm-2:30pm

 

For each age group, we will focus on learning choreography to these two musicals while learning ballet, tap, and jazz!

There will be a final presentation on Thursday! 

 

Creative Movement & Music - Ages 3-5

9:30- 11:30 am

Students participate in creative movements, incorporating traditional ballet dance techniques and basic motor skills such as skipping, jumping, leaping, etc.

Ballet/Jazz/Tap Ages 6-9

​11:30-1:30 pm

​We start with a traditional ballet warm-up at the barre, and progress to floor work, and the fundamentals of Jazz technique including isolations and stylized body movement. We then finish with tap dance focusing on choreography and tap combinations.

Ballet/Jazz/Tap Ages 10-15

2:30-5:00 pm

​We start with a traditional ballet warm-up at the barre, and progress to floor work, and the fundamentals of Jazz technique including isolations and stylized body movement. We then finish with tap dance focusing on choreography and tap combinations.

Ages 13-18

Dancers, Musicians, Vocalist, Artist

​

Collaborate with local & city school teens, and adults with disabilities, for 3 weeks to create a performance. 

​

In this inclusionary program, teens will get paid $20 a day to work alongside other students to create a music and dance performance.  

​

Kids will learn from the instructors, and each other about inclusion, compassion, and empathy. This program is great; you can do what you love and get paid for it.  

​
